CAMPonDemand 2021 Registration Open – Prices Go Up Sept. 25

Be sure to register for this year’s JAWS Conference And Mentoring Program (CAMP) before early-bird pricing ends!

#CAMPonDemand2021 — Re-EMERGING and Reimagining will be online and on-demand Oct. 15-17, bringing us together to share, discuss, laugh, listen and learn. Early-bird pricing is $79 for JAWS members and $99 for non-members. Prices increase to $99 for members and $120 for non-members Sept. 25.

At JAWS CAMP 2021, you can expect to find inspiring speakers; educational opportunities for whatever stage of your career; networking and social time for having meaningful conversations, laughing, making friends and experiencing the importance of what we all do as journalists, as women and as human beings.

Our fabulous keynote speakers include Deborah Douglas and Amber Payne, co-editors-in-chief of The Emancipator, which reimagines an abolitionist news outlet for a new day, and Melody Spann Cooper, chairman and CEO of Chicago's Midway Broadcasting Corporation, owner of the oldest Black-oriented radio station in the city.

Panels will explore misinformation, disinformation and conspiracy theories; newsroom leaders, racial inequities and DEI action; climate change embedded into beats; health inequity, online harassment and more. Find training to further your career: freelance editing; SPJ’s Google News Initiative and Facebook for Journalists; career pivots for all ages and career pivots after 60; overseas reporting – and, yes, more!

Jump into a virtual studio to get tips on profile building, styling and mental health; join a social hour geared toward your interests; get your heart pumping and your muscles stretched with Jazzercise and yoga.

Longtime CAMP tradition Books & Browse will have two sessions this year, each with a panel of JAWS authors who published books in the past year. They'll offer readings and Q&As online.

Let’s meet up at #CAMPonDemand2021! Reach out to support@jaws.org with any questions.
