AIR, founded in 1988, is a network of more than 1,300 independent audio producers, multimedia journalists, and public media programs, stations and networks across 30 countries.

ACES, the American Copy Editors Society, is a non-profit 501(c)(3) education and membership organization working toward the advancement of copy editors. Their aim is to provide solutions to editing problems, training and a place to discuss common issues. ACES is an international members’ alliance of editors working at newspapers, magazines, websites, traditional media outlets, Fortune 500, as well as freelance editors, students and their professors.

Exceptional Women in Publishing (EWIP) was founded in 1998 by women who felt the need for an organization that addressed the leadership aspirations of women in magazine publishing. EWIP, formerly Women in Periodical Publishing, was formed with two goals in mind: to educate, empower and support women in publishing and to educate, empower and support women and girls through the power of publishing. EWIP/WIPP is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational organization.

Local Independent Online News Publishers (LION Publishers) fosters the viability and excellence of locally focused independent online news organizations and cultivate their connections to their communities through education and action.

 The National Society of Newspaper Columnists is a 501(c)6 nonprofit organization incorporated in the state of California. The NSNC promotes professionalism and camaraderie among columnists and other writers of the serial essay, including bloggers. NSNC advocates for columnists and free-press issues.
