New, fresh look for JAWS.org

JAWS President Mira Lowe

Welcome.

Today we announce a new jaws.org. This site is redesigned with you in mind.

We want to create a place of belonging for women in journalism. A haven – and a hub for information. You’ll immediately notice warmer colors, more photos, better navigation and a cleaner design for an inviting user experience.

Our mission is to develop a new space where you are seen and accepted. A space where your work is elevated and celebrated. A space for you to engage, reflect, learn and grow.

We are excited that now, whether on desktop or mobile, you will be able to navigate JAWS’ website more effortlessly, find the info you are looking for more quickly, and learn about new programming, services and events more easily.

This website is intended to be our community square – where you can get the latest news about the organization, sign up for a webinar, renew your membership or make a donation.

This roll out is just the beginning.

We will continue to develop the site and add more features and content as we go. Make sure to bookmark www.jaws.org and come back often to see our updates. We want your feedback, too. Please send suggestions to web@jaws.org.

A special thank you to Communications Chair Kari Mar, Treasurer Deborah Douglas and Digital Communications Manager Andrea Crowley-Hughes for working tirelessly on this launch. It could not have happened without their smarts, tenacity and can-do spirits.

Building stronger communication with you, our members and supporters, will continue to be a top priority for JAWS in 2020. Stay tuned for more developments coming soon!

Onward,

Mira
