We believe going virtual is the safest and most cost-effective way for our members and supporters to gather during this pandemic.
At CAMP 2020, you can expect to find educational opportunities to improve and expand your skills, keynote speakers to inspire, plenty of time to share war stories, make new friends and experience the importance of what we all do as journalists and as women.
Award-winning documentarian, journalist, speaker, author and philanthropist Soledad O’Brien will be the Saturday evening keynote speaker, and panels will explore the future of journalism, diversity, equity and inclusion and journalistic responses to the events of 2020. Long-time CAMP tradition Books & Browse will take place through a panel of authors, readings and Q&As online. Our other keynote speakers include Sarah Alvarez, innovative founder of Outlier Media, reaching low-income news consumers on their phones. Award-winning producer and author Georgia Dawkins will interview trailblazer Yvette Miley, senior vice president of diversity and inclusion at NBC News and MSNBC and on the board of Out & Equal. And you won’t want to miss the conversation with Emily Ramshaw and Errin Haines, leaders of the 19th, a nonprofit, nonpartisan newsroom reporting at the intersection of women, politics and policy.
And there’s so much more! An indigenous cooking demonstration live with Claudia Rosas; trainings that include becoming a producer and using Google’s and Facebook’s latest journalism reporting tools; a dance party; Jazzercise and yoga sessions; Whine and Wine; Silent Auction; and don’t forget your CAMP swag.
Let’s get together at #CAMPOnDEMAND! Reach out to with any questions.
