Applications are now available for the Journalism and Women Symposium (JAWS) 2019 fellowship program. The application deadline is 11:59 p.m. EDT June 28.
We bring fellows to our Conference and Mentoring Project (CAMP) each year for three days of training, networking and professional development. Our past fellows leave an impressive legacy of journalistic achievement and leadership, within and outside of JAWS.
CAMP 2019 will be held Sept. 20-22 in Williamsburg, Va., one of New York Times’ 52 Places to Go in 2019 and the perfect backdrop for this year’s theme: “Facing our Past, Defining our Future.” Historians, journalists, activists, and more will lead programming centered around equity in journalism. With opportunities to form relationships with other journalists and session in which you will master tools and best practices, you’ll leave the conference equipped to build something new.
