CAMP 2015: Volunteer opportunities

Looking to get more involved with JAWS? You’re in luck! We have a few upcoming opportunities.

Conference and Mentoring Project (CAMP) 2015
Books and Browse: Do you love books? Want to mingle with authors? We’re looking for a volunteer to coordinate Books and Browse, a wonderful tradition for the authors among us to sign and sell books at CAMP in Montana.

Volunteer Wrangler Chief: Are you super organized? CAMP needs you to line up and coordinate volunteers to help with a range of on-site tasks at Grouse Mountain Lodge.

If you’d like to help out in either position, email CAMP chairs Gina Setser and Emily Shenk.

Be a matchmaker: Join the Mentoring Committee chaired by Donna Myrow and Sheila Solomon to help pair up mentees and mentors. We’d like five matchmakers based in different parts of the country. This would involve about once a month gathering a few additional members, sitting down with the list of mentoring requests, matching people and emailing them.

Co-Coordinator: With the ongoing volume of requests for mentoring, someone is needed to share coordinating with Bonnie Rollins. This involves updating spreadsheets and coordinating requests with the matchmaker volunteers.

To volunteer or find out details about the mentoring committee opportunities, contact Bonnie Rollins.
