Susy Schultz

SusySusy Schultz is an editor, digital journalist, educator, writer and strategist. Her titles include managing editor, digital editor, investigative editor, associate publisher, reporter, columnist and editorial writer. She’s worked for newspapers, a wire service, websites and magazines covering politics, health care, business and parenting for the Chicago Sun-Times, The Chicago Reporter, Chicago Tribune, New York Times Syndicate and Chicago Parent as well as a frequent guest on radio and television shows. Proud of her past, she is excited about her future and that of the industry. She teaches and takes digital classes at Columbia College Chicago. She is readership director for The Daily Journal in Kankakee and is a freelance editor working with the Schuster Institute for Investigative Reporting at Brandeis University. She has worked in government, academia and the foundation world. She is fluent in Spanish, lives in Chicago, is AWJ Chicago chapter’s founding president and an IRE member as well as the mother of two amazing men.
