Halle Stockton is an investigative fellow for PublicSource focusing on social justice issues. She was a staff writer at the Sarasota (Fla.) Herald-Tribune for four years before joining PublicSource. The Erie, Pa. native is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University, where she served as managing editor of the independent student-run newspaper. In 2007, she won the William Randolph Hearst Foundation’s national writing championship. Some of her favorite activities include reading novels about dystopian societies, watching Star Trek (primarily, The Next Generation series), fishing and running around with her standard schnauzer, Dexter.
